Solutum Israeli Company
Solutum develops a novel plastic material that dissolves and biodegrades when placed in water (fresh or marine) at ambient temperature after a predetermined delay time. Natural microbes found in all types of water break down the plastic into carbon dioxide, water, and biomass, leaving no toxic residue or resulting microplastics, nanoplastics, or picoplastics. Solutum’s product can be used for a multitude of single-use packaging applications, including bags and shrink wrap, and can be manufactured on existing production lines.
